Specificity

Clone 1D19 is a ZooMAb^® rabbit recombinant monoclonal antibody that specifically detects Adiponectin. It targets an epitope within 17 amino acids from the C-terminal region.

Immunogen

KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to 17 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human Adiponectin.

Application

Quality Control Testing

Evaluated by Western Botting in Human kidney tissue lysate.

Western Blotting Analysis: A 1:1,000 dilution of this antibody detected Adiponectin Human kidney tissue lysate.

Tested Applications

Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin) Analysis (IHC(P)): A 1:1000 dilution of this antibody detected Adiponectin in Human kidney tissue sections.

Affinity Binding Assay: A representative lot of this antibody bound Adiponectin peptide with a KD value of 3.7 x 10-7 in an affinity binding assay.

Immunofluorescence Analysis (IF): A 1:1000 dilution of this antibody detected Adiponectin in Human kidney tissue sections.

Target description

Adiponectin (UniProt Q15848; also known as 30 kDa adipocyte complement-related protein, ACRP30, Adipocyte complement-related 30 kDa protein, Adipocyte, C1q and collagen domain-containing protein, Adipose most abundant gene transcript 1 protein, apM-1, Gelatin-binding protein) is encoded by the ADIPOQ (also known as ACDC, ACRP30, ADPND, APM1, GBP28) gene (Gene ID: 9370) in human. Adiponectin is a homomultimeric secreted glycoprotein that is synthesized by adipocytes with a signal peptide (aa 1-18), which is subsequently cleaved off to produce the mature protein. It plays a role in the control of fat metabolism and insulin sensitivity and has anti-diabetic, anti-atherogenic, and anti-inflammatory activities. It stimulates AMPK phosphorylation and activation in the liver and the skeletal muscle and enhances glucose utilization and fatty-acid combustion. Physical form

Purified recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS with 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. The PBS/trehalose components in the ZooMAb formulation can have the appearance of a semi-solid (bead like gel) after lyophilization. This is a normal phenomenon. Please follow the recommended reconstitution procedure in the data sheet to dissolve the semi-solid, bead-like, gel-appearing material. The resulting antibody solution is completely stable and functional as proven by full functional testing. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 µL.

Reconstitution

Reconstitute lyophilized antibody pellet with 25μL of ultrapure water or Phosphate Buffered Saline (PBS). Please refer to our reconstitution protocol and the specific application guidance on the suggested starting dilutions and sample type.

Storage and Stability

Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 µL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
