Protein tyrosine phosphatase, full length, (Gene bank accession number NM_080549) with N-terminal GST tag, MW = 95 kDa, expressed in an E. coli expression system.

The Src homology region 2 domain-containing phosphatase-1 (SHP1)/protein tyrosine phosphatase, non-receptor type 6 (PTPN6) is a 68 kDa protein present in the cytoplasm. It is mapped to human chromosome 12p13.

생화학적/생리학적 작용

In mammary epithelial cells, protein tyrosine phosphatase, non-receptor type 6 (PTPN6) controls EGFR (epidermal growth factor receptor) signaling. It participates in the JAK/STAT (janus kinase/signal transducers and activators of transcription) signaling pathway. PTPN6 regulates cytokine receptors like interleukin- 3 (IL-3) and erythropoietin.
