Application
- Citral has been used as an anti-tumor agent against breast cancer cell lines (MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231).
- It shows antipyretic effects which can be studied by systemic administration of lipopolysaccharide (LPS) to rats.
- It can undergo 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction with trimethylsilylazide to form 1,2,3-triazolines which possess pharmaceutical properties.
