Viral Vectors: Up to 3× faster processing than hollow fibers.
This study compared performance of Pellicon® Capsules with hollow fiber modules for volume reduction and diafiltration of AAV post clarification. Results showed that although yield was equivalent between Pellicon® Capsules and hollow fiber modules, the Pellicon® Capsules achieved higher and more stable flux which resulted in faster processing and lower membrane area requirements, improving the efficiency, costs, and footprint of the operation.
