Oligonucleotide analysis is a critical aspect of molecular biology and therapeutic development, demanding robust and versatile chromatographic techniques for comprehensive characterization. Several modes of chromatography can be employed to characterize these biomolecules, but when and how to best use each mode can be challenging. This webinar aims to explore how various chromatographic techniques can be synergistically employed to achieve comprehensive oligonucleotide characterization. Aspects of ion-pair reversed phase chromatography (IP-RPC), hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography (HILIC), ion exchange chromatography (IEC), and size exclusion chromatography (SEC) will be discussed and how best to employ each mode in oligonucleotide characterization. Several application examples will be utilized to showcase how each of these modes of chromatography can be best utilized to fully resolve and understand the composition of samples containing oligonucleotides.
At the conclusion of the webinar, the audience members will:
- Understand the strengths and weaknesses of each mode of chromatography in characterizing oligonucleotides.
- Be familiar with key method parameters to adjust when fine-tuning oligonucleotide chromatographic assays.
- Gain an appreciation for when to use each mode of chromatography when analyzing oligonucleotides.
