Application
- Synthesis of novel silane-based carboxylic acids: The study focuses on the synthesis of novel silane-based carboxylic acids for use in methacrylated epoxy-based oligomers. These compounds were shown to enhance the properties of UV-curable systems by reacting 3-(triethoxysilyl)propylamine with various carboxylic acids, thereby improving the performance of polycarbonate panels used in these experiments (N Ranjbar, M Kolahdoozan… - Journal of Macromolecular Science, Part B, 2023 - Taylor & Francis).
- CO2/H2O adsorption on functionalized mesoporous silicas: This research investigated the enhancement of CO2 and water adsorption capacities on mesoporous silicas modified with 3-(triethoxysilyl) propylamine (APTES). The study demonstrates APTES′s ability to significantly improve CO2 affinity on modified silicas, offering potential improvements for environmental applications (GL Avellaneda, R Denoyel, I Beurroies - Microporous and Mesoporous Materials, 2024 - Elsevier).
