General description

Silver bromide (AgBr) with 99.999% trace metal purity is an inorganic compound and is used in various fields due to its exceptional light sensitivity, optical properties, and high purity.

Application

Silver bromide (AgBr) is a promising photocatalyst with a narrow bandgap. Three- dimensional hydrogels based with AgBr show remarkable antibacterial properties, making it a viable material for photochromic contact lenses. Graphene-based aerogels as catalysts support for AgBr have also been reported to show high photocatalytic activity, these composites could be used for photodegradation of organic pollutants and have antibacterial applications. AgBr can be utilized in the synthesis of silver bromide nanoparticles, which have applications in catalysis, sensing, and photonic devices. Silver bromide has been used in research areas for creating thin films and coatings with unique optical and electronic properties.[1][2][3]
