General description

Chloroformis used as an extraction solvent in the dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction(DLLME) technique. It is also used as a mobile phase in the columnchromatography method.

Application

  • Preparation and application of stimuli-responsive PET TeMs: Utilizes RAFT graft block copolymerisation of styrene and acrylic acid for the separation of water-oil emulsions, demonstrating the adaptation of chloroform in enhancing polymer properties for environmental applications (Muslimova et al., 2024).

  • Effect of Stool Sampling on a Routine Clinical Method: Describes the use of chloroform in gas chromatography-mass spectrometry for the quantification of short-chain fatty acids in stool samples, highlighting its importance in clinical diagnostics (Mahdi et al., 2024).

  • Improved lipid analysis using a 2D-LC-MS system: Discusses a novel injection procedure involving chloroform for enhanced lipid profiling, showcasing its critical role in advanced biochemical analysis (Pánczél et al., 2024).

  • Ecological Risk Assessment of Three Pesticide Additives in Soil: Addresses the application of chloroform in the remediation of contaminated soils, emphasizing its utility in environmental toxicology and soil science (Li et al., 2024).
