Biochem/physiol Actions

BI8626 is a selective HUWE1 (HECTH9; MULE; ARF-BP1) inhibitor (IC50 = 0.9 µM by HUWE1 HECT-domain auto-ubiquitination assay; IC50 >50 µM against other HECT-domain Ub ligases tested). BI8626 inhibits the degradation of HUWE1 target proteiins, including MCL1, MIZ1, and TopBP1 (10-20 µM). BI8626 suppresses Ls174T colony formation (IC50 = 0.7 µM in 5 days) and the growth of three colon carcinoma cell lines (20 µM for 5 days; HCT116, HT29, SW480).
Selective HUWE1 (HECTH9; MULE; ARF-BP1) inhibitor against HUWE1-mediated degration of target proteins.

Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug-activated gene-1 (NAG-1) is induced by nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and possesses proapoptotic and antitumorigenic activities. Although tolfenamic acid (TA) induces apoptosis in head and neck cancer cells, the relationship between NAG-1 and TA has not been determined. This
