Sodium tetrachloropalladate(II)[Na₂PdCl₄] was used to prepared palladium nanospheres, hollow nanopheres and hollow Au_xPdY alloy nanoparticles. Na₂PdCl₄ maybe used in the electroless coating on mild steel and to prepare ion associate cetyltrimethylammonium-tetrachloropalladate which is consequently used to modify carbon based electrodes for better sensitivity.
