Application
(R)-(+)-α-Methylbenzylamine is a chiral amine that may be used as a substrate to synthesize (S)-α-amino phosphonates, R-α-aminonitriles, N-{(S)-[cyclohexan-(S)-2-ol]}-(R)-α-methylbenzyl amine and N-{(R)-[cyclohexan-(R)-2-ol]}-(R)-α-methylbenzyl amine. In the presence of boric acid, it can be used in the resolution of racemic 1,1′-bi-2-naphthol.
