General description

Eosin Y is a xanthene dye and is used for the differential staining of connective tissue and cytoplasm. In histopathology, it is applied as a counterstain after hematoxylin and before methylene blue. It is also used as a background stain, thereby giving contrast to the nuclear stains.[1][2]

Application

Eosin Y has been used as a reagent in the preparation of Nigrosin-Eosin (NE) stain and is used in hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining technique to visualize alginate.[3][4]

Calcium phosphates (CPs), as the major inorganic component of biological hard tissues, have been investigated for applications as biomaterials owing to their excellent biocompatibility. However, the traditional synthetic CPs are usually prepared from inorganic phosphorus and calcium sources. Herein, we

We presents an article about the Warburg effect, and how it is the enhanced conversion of glucose to lactate observed in tumor cells, even in the presence of normal levels of oxygen. Otto Heinrich Warburg demonstrated in 1924 that cancer cells show an increased dependence on glycolysis to meet their energy needs, regardless of whether they were well-oxygenated or not.
