Application
GLP-1 (Preproglucagon 72-107 amide) (GLP-1 human) has been used to study its effect on vascular endothelial growth factor-A (VEGFA)-mediated endothelium-dependent signaling and vasodilation.[1]
Glycogen-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) is an amino acid peptide derived from proglucogon. GLP-1 is involved in the regulation of the glycemic index via its affect on glucagon and insulin levels. GLP-1 may be used to study its interaction with its receptor, the GLP-1 receptor.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Glycogen-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) is an insulinotropic hormone, which takes part in increasing insulin secretion and insulin sensitivity. It also inhibits the secretion of glycogen and reduces fasting glucose levels.[2]
