Application

Cesium nitrate is used in the synthesis of cesium nitratocuprate, Cs₂[Cu(NO₃)₄], which crystallizes in a square-planar coordination around the Cu center. CsNO₃ may also be used in the preparation of a low temperature CO conversion Cu-Zn-Al catalysts.
