General description

Major phase is Ni₃S₂. Product may also include a small amount of sulfur-rich phase. Nickel Sulfide (Ni₃S₂) exists as a heazlewoodite mineral in nature. The structure of Ni₃S₂ is hombohedral. Raman spectral analysis of Ni₃S₂ has been reported.

Application

Nickel sulfide was implanted in mice, to induce the growth of malignant fibrous histiocytomas.
