General description

Myricitrin is a plant compound, isolated from Folium Rhododendri Micranthi,[1] which acts as a nitric oxide and protein kinase inhibitor and is found to exhibit antipsychotic-like effect in animal models.[2]

Application

Myricitrin may be used as an analytical reference standard for determination of the analyte in Folium Rhododendri Micranthi extract using high-performance liquid chromatography.[1] It may also be used as an external standard in the validation of both commercial herbal medicines and crude material of Myrcia uniflora extracts using high-performance liquid chromatography technique.[3]
