General description

The antibody DR-4-02 recognizes TRAIL-R1 (DR4), a human death receptor 4 (468 amino acids) expressed in most human tissues (spleen, peripheral blood leucocytes, thymus) and in a variety of tumour-derived cell lines.

Immunogen

Fusion protein containing the extracellular part of TRAIL-R1 and the constant part of the heavy chain of the human IgG1

Application

The reagent is designed for Flow Cytometry analysis. Suggested working dilution is 3-5 μg/mL of sample. Indicated dilution is recommended starting point for use of this product. Working concentrations should be determined by the investigator.

Features and Benefits

Evaluate our antibodies with complete peace of mind. If the antibody does not perform in your application, we will issue a full credit or replacement antibody. Learn more.

Physical form

Solution in azide free phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4; 0.2 um filter sterilized. Endotoxin level is less than 0.01 EU/μg of the protein, as determined by the LAL test.

The tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL) selectively induces apoptosis in the majority of tumor cells, whilst sparing normal cells. However, the potential use of TRAIL in the treatment of cancer is limited by the inevitable emergence of drug resistance.

TRAIL, a ligand of the TNFalpha family, induces upon binding to its pro-death receptors TRAIL-R1/DR4 and TRAIL-R2/DR5 the apoptosis of cancer cells. Activated receptors incite the formation of the Death-Inducing Signaling Complex followed by the activation of the downstream apoptotic
