Note: Actual optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user as specimens, and experimental conditions may vary with the end user
Anti-ZFAND1, clone 4K16 ZooMAb®, Cat. No. ZRB1062, is a recombinant Rabbit monoclonal antibody that detects Zinc finger AN1-type-containing protein 1 (ZFAND1). (ZFAND1) and is tested for use in Affinity Binding Assay, ELISA, and Western Blotting.
Target description
AN1-type zinc finger protein 1 (UniProt: Q8TCF1; also known as Zinc finger AN1-type-containing protein 1, ZFAND1) is encoded by the ZFAND1 gene (Gene ID: 79752) in human. ZFAND1 is a 268 amino acid protein with two ANI-type zinc fingers (aa 7-58 and 61-110) and a UBL domain. It plays a role in the regulation of cytoplasmic stress granules (SGs) turnover. It contains six conserved cysteines, two histidines, and has a zinc-bound /β fold. There are four isoforms of ZFAND1 have been described that are produced by alternative splicing. ZFAND1 is reported to interact with two key factors of protein degradation, the 26S proteasome and the ubiquitin-selective segregase p97, via its zinc finger and UBL domains, and recruits them to arsenite-induced stress granules. In the absence of ZFAND1, stress granules lack the 26S proteasome and p97 and accumulate defective ribosomal products. This ZooMAb® recombinant monoclonal antibody, generated by our propriety technology, offers significantly enhanced specificity, affinity, reproducibility, and stability over conventional monoclonals. Physical form
Purified recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS with 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. The PBS/trehalose components in the ZooMAb® formulation can have the appearance of a semi-solid (bead like gel) after lyophilization. This is a normal phenomenon. Please follow the recommended reconstitution procedure in the data sheet to dissolve the semi-solid, bead-like, gel-appearing material. The resulting antibody solution is completely stable and functional as proven by full functional testing. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 μL.
Storage and Stability
Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 μL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
