General description

BIOshell A160 Peptide Phenyl-Hexyl is a high-speed, high-performance liquid chromatography column based on a 160 Å Fused-Core® particle design. The particle provides a thin porous shell of high-purity silica surrounding a solid silica core. This particle design exhibits very high column efficiency for high molecular weight solutes (up to 20 kDa) due to the shallow diffusion paths in the 0.5 μm thick porous shell and the small overall particle size of 2.7 μm. The end-capped, phenyl-hexyl bonded phase of the Peptide Phenyl-Hexyl provides a stable, reversed phase packing with a pore structure and pore size that is optimized for reversed-phase HPLC separations of peptides and polypeptides, using typical acidic mobile phases favored for proteomic applications.

Analysis Note

The target analytes include peptides and polypeptides < 20 kDa.

Mammalian DNA polymerase (Pol) delta is essential for DNA replication. It consists of four subunits, p125, p50, p68, and p12. We report the discovery that the p12 subunit is rapidly degraded in cultured human cells by DNA damage or replication
