General description

1,3-Dichloropropene (1,3-D) is a clear, light-straw colored liquid.[1] It is a soil fumigant useful for preplanting control of parasitic nematodes.[2] Co-formulations of 1,3-D and chloropicrin are widely employed for preplant fumigation in the production of high-value crops.[3]

Application

1,3-Dichloropropene may be employed in commercial fumigant preparations.[1] It is used as pesticide in a study to investigate the photocatalytic degradation of water-soluble pesticides (cymoxanil, methomyl, oxamyl, dimethoate, pyrimethanil and telone) at pilot-plant scale.[4]

We identified ∼30-mer amyloid-β protein (Aβ) assemblies, termed amylospheroids, from brains of patients with Alzheimer disease (AD) as toxic entities responsible for neurodegeneration and showed that Na+,K+-ATPase α3 (NAKα3) is the sole target of amylospheroid-mediated neurodegeneration. However, it remains unclear
